Welcome to Memoryes.
Memoryes is a digital disposable camera app that lets event hosts and guests capture and share photos during private events and gatherings. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the app.
By using Memoryes, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Name or nickname provided when you create an account or join an event.
- Email address, when you create an account with email or from your Apple or Google sign-in.
- Photos and media you capture or upload to an event.
- Event details you enter when creating an event (title, date, guest list, settings).
Information processed automatically to run the service
- Basic technical and log data (such as IP address and device or app version) that our infrastructure providers process to deliver content, keep the service secure, and diagnose problems.
We do not use third-party advertising networks, and we do not track you across other apps or websites. Memoryes does not integrate ad SDKs or cross-app tracking, so no App Tracking Transparency prompt is shown.
2. Photos and Event Content
Memoryes exists to collect and share photos taken by event participants. Photos uploaded to an event may be visible to:
- The event host.
- Guests authorized to access the event.
- Other participants, depending on the visibility settings chosen by the host.
By uploading photos, you confirm that:
- You have the right to upload the content.
- The content does not violate applicable laws or third-party rights.
- You understand event content may be shared with other authorized participants.
3. How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and maintain the Memoryes service.
- Create and manage events.
- Store and display event photos to authorized participants.
- Process in-app purchases.
- Prevent abuse, fraud, and unauthorized activity, and enforce our Terms.
- Communicate important updates about the service.
4. Third-Party Services We Rely On
Memoryes uses a small number of service providers strictly to operate the app:
- Supabase, for authentication, database, and secure photo storage.
- Apple In-App Purchase and RevenueCat, to process purchases and validate receipts. Payments are handled by Apple, and we never receive your full payment card details.
- Apple and Google, as optional sign-in providers when you choose them.
These providers process information only as needed to provide their function and under their own privacy policies. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertising networks.
5. Storage and Security
We apply reasonable technical measures to protect your information and uploaded content, including access controls and time-limited (signed) links to media. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the service and meet legal obligations.
- You can delete individual photos you uploaded from within an event.
- A host can remove content and block participants from their event.
- You can permanently delete your account at any time from Profile, then Delete account. This deletes your account, your events, and the photos you uploaded, and cannot be undone.
If you are unable to use in-app deletion, contact us and we will delete your data for you.
7. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (including under the LGPD in Brazil and the GDPR in the EU and UK), you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information.
- Request a copy of your data (portability).
You can exercise several of these directly in the app (edit your name, delete your account). For anything else, contact us using the details below.
8. Content Moderation and Reporting
Memoryes has zero tolerance for objectionable or illegal content. Any participant can report a photo, and it is hidden immediately for everyone while we review it. Hosts can block abusive guests, which removes their access and hides their content. Reports are reviewed by our team, and violating content and accounts may be removed.
9. Children's Privacy
Memoryes is not intended for children under the age required by applicable law in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, the updated version will be published within the app and on our public policy page, with a revised Last updated date.
